missmequote

Every other week I get a text or call from someone saying how much they “miss” me, but that’s where it ends. I respond all the time and after a few good words it’s over. I didn’t allow it to bother me at first, but I can’t act like I’m fine with it anymore. I have so much going on right now, literally, I don’t need people around me who only want to let me know they miss me and leave it at that. How about checking up on me like I do you – which I’m seriously debating no longer doing. I have children, school, two small businesses I’m trying to get off the ground, battling depression and insomnia, etc. My time should be limited yet I’m always one call away because I actually care about others. I understand people have their own lives as do I. All I’m saying is ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.

  1. This is the truth. I have stopped being the one to reach out and I haven’t heard from them since the last time I called now that I think about it.
